Laurenn L. Rowland, Ph.D., Staff Psychologist.
Ph.D., Clinical Psychology, Wayne State University.
Special interests: Diversity, multicultural/cross-cultural issues, survivors of abuse or trauma, gender and relationship issues, urban family concerns, parenting, recruitment and training of psychology interns.
Steven Schoeberlein was born and raised in Detroit and attended Oakland University as an art major. Steve received his B.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Psychology from Wayne State University. Steve has worked in the Wayne State University Counseling and Psychological Services department since 1998 and taught, Intro-, Development Psychology and Psychology of Adjustment courses. His research interests have included alcohol and gambling expectations and behaviors and adult emotional development. In addition to counseling services Steve is interested in group processes and is active in the university crisis intervention team and diversity training and programming.
Jennifer Crystal, Ph.D., L.P.C. is a Licensed Profession Counselor who received her B.A. in Psychology from Michigan State University, her M.A. in Counseling from Wayne State University, and her Ph.D. in Counseling from Wayne State University. She has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and the geriatric populations. Previous work experience included Inpatient Psychiatric Hospitals, Outpatient clinics, Schools, and Universities. She ran groups involving panic disorders, congestive heart failure, art therapy, and brain injury support groups. Professional Memberships involve The American Counseling Association (ACA), The Michigan Counseling Association MCA, and on the Board of Agoraphobics in Motion (A.I.M.).
Shedeh Tavakoli-Moayed, Ph.D., LPC, CRC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. She received her B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from University of Michigan, and her M.A. in Rehabilitation Counseling from Wayne State University. She
has completed her Ph.D. in Counseling at Wayne State University. Her current research addresses stress management interventions for improving health and functioning among international students. Shedeh has also assisted in teaching several classes at Wayne State University, including theories of counseling, group counseling, techniques of counseling, and counseling internship.
Dwaine S. Campbell, Ph.D.,
is a Staff Psychologist. Dr. Campbell earned his doctorate in Counseling
Psychology from Michigan State University. His clinical and research
interests include: multicultural and diversity issues in counseling, men’s
issues, anxiety, academic performance concerns, training/supervision and
outreach. Dr. Campbell is a member of the American Psychological
Association (APA) and the American College Personnel Association (ACPA).
Shivaun Nafsu, MSW, M.A., LMSW, LLPC.
Shivaun is a Licensed Master Social Worker and a Limited Licensed Professional
Counselor. Shivaun received her MSW from the University of Michigan, and her
M.A. in College Counseling from Eastern Michigan University. Her special
interests include: Grief/loss issues, women's issues, survivors of abuse or
trauma, and self esteem. Professional memberships involve American Counseling
Association (ACA).
