Welcome to Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

CAPS Mission Statement
Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) enhances students' development and academic progress by promoting an open, problem-solving approach to personal challenges and working collaboratively on building appropriate skills, attitudes, and actions.

Policies

CAPS has a professional staff of psychologists, clinical social workers, and licensed professional counselors trained to work with college students. All currently registered WSU students may be evaluated by a CAPS counselor.  A 15 minute screening interview is conducted to collect information about you and your situation. Students can call or stop by to complete the short evaluation. A counselor will then contact you to either schedule an intake appointment or help connect you to other services on campus or in the community.

CAPS services are accessible, confidential, and free.
